Jacksons Civils

high water table excavationHaving won the main drainage works in December 2010 we have undertaken to complete works on both foul and surface water deep drainage systems. The project is a design and build project under the main contractor. The works include all roads and gulley work and drainage works ranging from 1.5m to 4.5m deep.

The location of the site and the unique issues involved, such as being a natural flood plain, have emphasised the need for sound civil and environmental knowledge and needed a contractor with the right aptitude and attitude to resolve the numerous issues. Working with the client to find solutions that would facilitate minimum disruption to the programme of works was both a challenge and a reward.land drainage

The site and ground conditions have been of extreme, as the pictures show. Not only did we encounter the worst winter for 100 years, the site was also prone to tidal flooding had numerous conservation clauses and restrictions.

We have continued to deliver in terms of programme and have enhanced our own skill-set through sheer determination and endeavour.

The key obstacles of the site have been overcome and this has allowed us to develop a programme that is both achievable and is well on its way to completion within programme. This was a good solid project to undertake and clearly indicates a level of expertise that allows Owls Hall Environmental to be seen as a contractor of choice for and commercial drainage and environmental projects.
