Alarm systems are available for a range of Klargester & Entec products. These provide a safeguard against potential expensive problems. There are 4 main types of alarm;
Treatment Plants
Loss rotation & high water level alarm with optional remote alarm and flashing beacon – this is for the Bio disc and alerts when the discs stop moving
Loss pressure & high water level with optional alarm and flashing beacon – this is for the Bio Tec (Air flow) and alerts when there is a decrease in pressure
Alarms are a requirement for domestic sewage treatment plants in the event of power failure under the forthcoming new European Regulations EN-12566, governing the use of domestic sewage treatment plants:
EN12566-3 Section 6.0 para 6.1.1 states:
Plants shall be provided with an alarm to indicate operational failure (for example electrical, mechanical or hydraulic failure). The manufacturer shall indicate which kind of failure is detected with the alarm.
The new control panels offer a range of features and benefits including:
- Optional alarm facility
- Digital display with fault code to speed up fault diagnosis
- Rapid wiring installation
- Facility for optional telemetry to be fitted
- Flasher beacon available if required
The alarm system displays a digital read-out, providing the homeowner with an immediate alert should any problem occur. , the control panel is able to communicate the nature of any fault, including loss of pressure from the air blower, loss of rotation from a Bio disc, pump failure, or power failure. The display will inform the householder, or maintenance representative on site via a digital display and fault code. The system also features a highly visible external beacon (optional) as a primary warning. The alarm can also (optional) communicate directly to our service centre, enabling our service engineer to prioritise the fault and determine what parts to bring.
High water level alarm
It is recommended that all bio discs with a pump have a high water alarm fitted; this will alert so you can stop the pump motor becoming flooded. With a cesspool the alarm alerts when the tank is nearly full.
Separator Alarms
For class 1 & 2 separators – this will ensure that oil does not accumulate to a point where the separator efficiency is threatened.
Available as mains or Solar Powered
British European Standard BS EN 858-1 and Environment Agency Pollution Prevention Guideline PPG3 requires that all separators are to be fitted with an oil level alarm system and that it should be installed and calibrated by a suitably qualified technician so that it will respond to an alarm condition when the separator requires emptying.
- Easily fitted to existing tanks
- Excellent operational range
- Visual and audible alarm
- Additional telemetry option
